The Lords of Klingenberg purchase the castle.

Hohentwiel is besieged in the course of the "Werdenberger Fehde" (Feud).

Duke Ulrich von Württemberg finds refuge at Hohentwiel.

Hohentwiel becomes part of Württemberg.

Hohentwiel is besieged five times during the Thirty Years' War.

Konrad Widerholt has a church built at the fortress.

The fortress is expanded for the last time.

Johann Jakob Moser, a specialist in constitutional law, is placed under arrest at the State fortress Hohentwiel.

The fortress must be surrendered to the French, who destroy it.

The exclave Hohentwiel is integrated in the boundaries of the city of Singen.
